Thank you for visiting my Tony Scott for State Representative website and showing interest in my campaign.  I am extremely excited to announce that I am seeking re-election to represent the 112th District again in Hartford. Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

I am proud of the accomplishments I have made thus far in my two terms. It has been a privilege to be the voice for the 112th District. Voters from Monroe, Easton and Trumbull have entrusted me to represent their best interests and it would be my honor to continue to do so.

This past year I was selected for a leadership position as the Ranking Member of the Housing Committee.  In my leadership role, I have continually had the residents of Monroe, Easton and Trumbull in mind as I try and maintain Local Control and stop the overreach of those in Hartford trying to make local zoning decisions in the 112th District.  I also serve on the Higher Education & Employee Advancement and General Law Committees.

On top on fighting to maintain Local Control, I continue to push for lower taxes and against unfunded mandates that would only add to our local tax burdens.   I have also been focused on making sure educational funding to our schools is not cut, while stressing safety and security is important with crime levels not where they should be.

Earlier this year, I was again recognized by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) as having a 100-percent voting record on pro-business legislation, as well as preventing job-killing taxes and voting against harmful mandates.  I take much pride in supporting businesses as they are the life blood to jobs and a better economy.

During the past year, I have spent a lot of time in both Easton and Trumbull learning the specific wants and desires those unique towns need.  There is no better way to understand how best to help, than talking with constituents while at the many events and meetings I have attended in the newest part of my district.  I’ve also started to work closely with new Monroe First Selectman Terry Rooney and his team to continue the support for my home town.  I look forward to the opportunity to expand and heighten my interactions with leaders in all three towns to address their concerns in Hartford for years to come.

As a husband and father of two daughters, I care deeply about the community and government’s role within our lives. Thank you for your continuing support and I humbly ask for your help again in the race ahead!
